The Ultimate Blessing:

The Ultimate Blessing:

Waking up in the morning I prepared myself as usual anticipating to go and exercise as I have always done. I however sensed a feeling of weakness within my body , I realised that I couldn’t gather up enough strength to do my daily activities that I am usually accustomed to. I took a bath and prepared myself to go and work on my BYU pathway assignments at the chapel. I then realised that this was not possible , and as if in an instance I saw that I had became bed ridden. I could not literally gather up enough strength to do anything. I had before had rumours of many people catching typhoid during this rainy season partly because of what I would think infected water sources and mis harp in the food they would consume. Which of the two assumptions were true , I knew not . Truly speaking when you come to think of it,I can not reference a point in my life when I felt this sick as what became of me today. I can not describe the feelings of what I felt , probably only I and the Master can comprehend the pains and afflictions I have had to go through for the greater part of this day and week. Different thoughts started to wander in my mind about different things. Central to my thoughts though I earnestly tried my best seeking for help from above . With the little strength I could gather , I would kneel down and mumble short silent prayers seeking for heavens help to lead me and to comfort me. I puked several times and had a running tummy all day long which further I believe dehydrated me and was rendered very weak as a vessel. Despite all the pains and hardness of the illment I faced today, ther are a few takeaways I have learnt from the whole experience. I have come to appreciate and be grateful for the gift of life and good health spiritual and physically. I have come to “hear him” through this trialling experience . I have come to know of the goodness and love of the Master and my family. Whilst times were dark and dreary , they have stood and supported me without any guile. Moreso I am grateful for my sister Omega for the prayer of faith and blessing she gave me which brought a cascade of healing and delivered me from this particular illment. This whole experience has taken me four days to recover from and I just glory in the majesty of the devine and the sacred vessel the body is and the power of healing it has. I do pray and hope that in times when we are blessed with good health or anything else for that matter. Lets always give thanks and continue to reverence the Lord by keeping His covenants and reverencing Him always. Indeed it is an “ultimate blessing” to be alive and healthly.
Amen
