What PRICE am I willing to sacrifice /pay in order to win the PRIZE?

One of our favourite movies , me and my Sister Omega has since become the "Legend of the Sword , King Arthur. This movie quite an epic I should say depicts as the title eludes the Legend of king Arthur himself . Merriam-Webster defines a legend as a story coming down from the past., a body of such stories or a popular myth of recent origin.

In this instance King Arthur had became a great King but had a rivalry in the form of his brother "King Vortigern" who sought to become the King over Logres. The brother had won his current role as a part of the Kings council through deceit and making covenants with the devil. He finally succeed in killing King Arthur but fortunate enough King Arthur had a son who grew up to take claim over the kingdom.

A similar battle like the one his father had was eminent. His Uncle then King Vortigen had to sacrifice his wife and daughters to the devil so as to get power to fight the new born King and get control over the kingdom. At the battle King Arthur Jr triumphed and eventually peace and goodness prevailed in the kingdom.

What fascinated me is that King Arthur always drew his power from the sword which was a symbol of goodness , righteousness and fighting for a good cause that is to defend their nation and people. This strength also always flowed through his blood line. There were also times when he wanted to give up but was always motivated by his colleagues and also " The Lady of The Lake" which represented and reverenced a force for goodness.

At the final battle King Arthur Jr described told his opponent that " You make sense of the devil"

This legendary narration always gets me thinking about whose side I am on. What covenants am I making with God what are the key building blocks which can also make me be victorious over the adversary and his temptations. I know that just like the legend of the sword I can also get my power from the word which is always most often described as a double edged sword in the scriptures . Alma and Amulek in the Book of Mormon also tried the virtue of the word of God as they taught the Lamanites many of whom ended up changing their ways.

May we also in our own ways continue to identify and seek our sources of strength. I know that God lives and loves all of us.
