LDS Self Reliance Training Harare

The self reliance Training  was attended by representatives from several stakes  and units from within and without Harare. The training was in the form of  an open based discussion and was very much informative . Trainings in terms of current viable agricultural projects which members can possibly  embark on which require less capital to start with and are in demand and can also be scalable over time were discussed in depth.  Alfred Nyamhunga who was an invited guest facilitator  and an expert in such projects guided us in these discussions and shared with us some of his own experiences as a small scale farmer at Gazaland also in the quest to scale up. He shared about chicken rearing and its value edition , day old chicks, hatching edition  He further on highlighted that as one entity or group we needed to combine our efforts and also share resources in order to succeed as entrepreneurs. “  We need to cooperate not compete amongst each other” Below are some of the actionable projects which can be implemented by members as a way to complement their self reliance initiatives as individuals and as a Stake. It was also the goal of the organisers that this training could be cascaded down to all the members in the respective stakes and units.
